January Jobs Update
It’s been all hands on deck these last two weeks aboard Yeva in Haslar Marina, with VMG Technology Masts & Marine Systems, Blackbeard Marine, Raymarine, Russel, Paul and Rob all on board getting jobs done. Yeva’s hatches and handle bars have been re-sealed, she’s been surveyed, we’ve serviced the engine, inspected the fuel tanks, taken walls off and put them back on after accessing the areas we needed to work in. I’ve been deep cleaning, going through my spares and making a list of what’s left to order. Yeva’s been surveyed ready to reapply for our permits, and I made a trip to the Little Ships Club in London to give a talk about the expedition. The room was completely packed, and it was a really lovely evening. I’m proud to now be an honorary member of the club as well ☺️ Tomorrow I’m setting off on a little sea trial and testing some of my heavy weather tactics, as well as checking the anchor locker drains as we expect it to now and that the reinforced steering works without hitch. I’ll let you know how it goes!
